I became fascinated with dolls in 2011 when randomly stumbled on some photos of resin ball jointed dolls in internet. I immediately knew that dolls is something I need to be making. Later I discovered artist BJD's made from all kind of materials including porcelain, which was amazing on its own as ceramic art is a very ancient form of art with centuries of research and knowledge and endless possibilities of application. Ceramic techniques combined with moving organic forms made porcelain dolls an extremely interesting subject for me to explore. Also since young age I am very passionate about natural history and biodiversity and now try to reflect it in my work.

Often times dolls considered simply toys for kids, but I believe dolls are intricate and complex form of art and as any form of art it is a very powerful language of expression. A ball jointed doll is an ever-changing sculpture that can tell multiple stories.
